JCDecaux Momentum Shanghai Airport Advertising, the joint venture company established by Shanghai International Airport and Shanghai Momentum Media & Advertising International (a branch of the French Group JCDecaux, worldwide leader in outdoor communication), is launching an amazing digital advertising collection at Shanghai Pudong Airport.

In line with the global trends for digital and interactivity, one of the main objectives of the company for Shanghai Airport is to deploy a complete collection of outstanding digital media, constantly thriving to seek for the best quality, and the most amazing formats.

Early 2013, a Giant Suspended LED screen was launched at the very heart of Pudong Terminal 2, Domestic Boarding Hall (such media only existed in Paris CDG Airport so far). With a giant format (37m2), and an ultra thin media (120mm), using the latest technology.
This inescapable top quality digital media, with its modern design strongly enhances the premium airport environment.

During the past weeks, JCDecaux launched 2 TV Walls, one in the Terminal 1 International Departure Boarding Hall, and the other one in the Terminal 2 International Boarding Hall. These two TV Walls, located at the entrance of the duty free areas, not only ensure coverage of 100% departure passengers, but also drive traffic to the duty free shops and boost sales of the travel retail brands displayed on the screens. Each of those TV Walls measures 3.6 x 2.1m, and is equipped with the new 55-inch ultraslim bezel LCD screens, as well as a 70-inch touchscreen, integrated in a glass structure, that create on top new convergence points inside the airport. The Pudong T2 TV Wall is also integrated with wayfinding displays for VIP lounges as well as an interactive information platform managed by the airport.

Shanghai Pudong Airport is the busiest international hub of mainland China and has kicked-off an ambitious development plan in 2012 to further expand its facilities and traffic. The Terminal 1 is undergoing a 1.6 billion yuan ($220 million) upgrade, aimed at increasing its passenger capacity by 85% by end 2014. It includes the construction of 2 more runways on top of the existing 3, and of an additional 6,000m2 retail space.
