Beijing, 18 November 2008 - JCDecaux Shanghai Advertising Co., Ltd. (hereinafter called “JCDecaux Shanghai”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of JCDecaux SA (Euronext Paris: DEC), the world’s leading outdoor advertising company, recently announced that the company has signed a five-year advertising contract with the Beijing MTR Corporation on the exclusive operation of major advertising resources on the Beijing Metro Line 4. Starting September 2009, JCDecaux Shanghai will operate and manage the sales of over 3,900 advertising spaces in the 24 stations of Line 4, as well as the interior space of subway trains. The 28.14km Beijing Metro Line 4 is another main trunk line with 24 stations in the city’s urban rail transit network, running from South to North through Fengtai, Xuanwu, Xicheng and Haidian districts. The winning of this contract has strengthened JCDecaux’s leadership position within the China metro advertising market, in addition to its current operations in the seven Chinese cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tianjing, Nanjing, Chongqing and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. General Manger Mr. Wang Shao Ji of Beijing MTR Co. Ltd made the introduction on signing ceremony. He said in this cooperation, Beijing MTR Co. Ltd has dual identities which are property owner and media. Through the important start of strong cooperation with JCDecaux to build line 4 high quality media is a significant milestone of none ticket service of line 4. Many excellence outdoor advertising companies participate in the competition since Beijing metro line 4 released the advertising investment announcement at the end of 2007. With overt and transparent biding procedure and supports from Hong Kong metro advertising and business experts, Beijing MTR Co. Ltd finally chose JCDecaux Group as the cooperation partner. “Through the cooperation between JCDecaux China and Beijing MTR Corporation, we aim to enhance the creative ambience of the Beijing Metro Line 4 environment and to ensure more enjoyable journeys for MTR passengers.
