On the evening of May 12th, the Eighth Annual Conference of European Union Chamber of Commerce in China (EUCCC) was held at the Kerry Centre Hotel, Pudong, Shanghai. As the exclusive outdoor media partner of EUCCC, JCDecaux China once again provided the self-operated Shanghai metro media spaces following its successful promotion of the event last year to support the Conference with 4 pieces of metro lightboxes and a release period of one month.
Stating from 2005, EUCCC in Shanghai holds gala balls in May each year for business elites of China and EU to gather together and spend a memorable night amidst the food, wine and wonderful performances. The party will also invite Consul Generals of various EU member states, CEOs of the world's top 500 enterprises in China and some Chinese officials.
This Annual Conference will also donate for Home Sweet Home, a charitable organization mainly sheltering those homeless youth who are unable to work due to work-related injuries and providing them with some vocational, living and psychological training to help them ease the psychological pressure and ultimately come into the society.
JCDecaux China Marketing and Communications Director Ms. Tina Li said, "This year is the second consecutive year that JCDecaux promotes the Annual Conference of EUCCC. We hope to continue to cooperate with EUCCC more effectively. Of course, JCDecaux China will, as always, maintain good interaction and cooperation with the European Union Chamber of Commerce and Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce by taking the advantage of our own media resources.”
Founded in 2000 and now with more than 1,400 members, EUCCC is a non-governmental and non-profit organization headquartered in Beijing, aiming to provide communication channels for the official and business sectors of China and EU, as well as to pay attention to and report on China's market environment, China and EU’s fulfillment of WTO obligations and other international commitments.
Inheriting the charity concept of JCDecaux, since JCDecaux China entered China, it has established good relations with many countries and regions, as well as depended on its own advertising media platform to disseminate the activities, communications and philanthropy of various chambers of commerce in China. In 2009, JCDecaux China participated in the selection of “the 2nd Annual Figures of Business Gathering” initiated by Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce, and vigorously disseminated this event which features “environmental and sustainable development”, by taking the advantage of its own metro, bus body and other media resources.
