The All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) and the China Women's Development Foundation (CWDF) held an award ceremony of the Chinese Women's Charity Awards at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on the morning of 18 December. At the ceremony, winners of the "Chinese Women's Charity Awards -- Model Ward", "Chinese Women's Charity Awards -- Exemplar Award", and "Chinese Women's Charity Awards -- Outstanding Contribution Award" were announced one by one. Chen Zhili, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) and president of the ACWF, attended the ceremony and presented the awards to the recipients of the Model Awards. JCDecaux China, along with China Central Television (CCTV), China National Radio (CNR), People's Daily Online, Emerson Electric (China) Investment and other enterprises, won the Outstanding Contribution Awards jointly conferred by the ACWF and the CWDF.
JCDecaux China became a media partner of the CWDF in 2012 through its "Postal Parcel for Mothers" public welfare program, which marked the official beginning of cooperation between JCDecaux and the CWDF. JCDecaux China promoted the "Postal Parcel for Mothers" public welfare program with its Metro media resources in Shanghai, Tianjin, Nanjing, and Chongqing by launching of advertising on 110 Metro lightboxes in order to call for urban residents' concern for impoverished mothers in western China and guide the public to pay attention to impoverished mothers and show more care for underprivileged social groups.
The CWDF was founded in 1988 as one of the only eight national 5A-level foundations in China. Over the past 23 years the CWDF has taken "safeguarding women's rights, improving women's quality, and promoting the development of women and women's cause" as its fundamental mission. Its four public welfare projects -- "Water Cellar for Mothers", "Health Express for Mothers", "Small Loans for Mothers", and "Funding Plan for Heroic and Model Impoverished Mothers" -- won China Charity Award, the highest award in China's philanthropic community. The CWDF has become an important member of China's public welfare organizations and an important force in the development of the public welfare cause.
