The Fifth Annual City Rail Summit was held in Shanghai during October 18-20, 2011, attended by over 200 industry insiders from the government agencies, planning and designing institutes, subway construction and operation firms from all over the world, which were related to the rail traffic sector. Stephen Wong, the CEO for JCDecaux Greater China, and Brett Li, the vice president of JCDecaux China - City Relationship and Business Development, were invited to participate in the event.
As a series event on the theme of urban rail traffic, The Fifth Annual City Rail Summit is intended to create an international platform for exchanges and sharing, thus promoting the joint development of the rail traffic in China and in the world. Under the theme of "safety, green and civilization", the attendants carried out in-depth discussions on the international development trend of urban rail traffic, the investment and financing of subways, the informatization and safety-related issues. Meanwhile, Mr. Li effectively communicated with the executives from different rail traffic operators on the topics including "The status quo and development blueprint of rail traffic building", "a thinking on the operating model" and "the challenges faced by the metro operation of new lines".
