Shanghai, February 22, 2013 - JCDecaux Advertising (Shanghai) Ltd. announced it has entered into a 5-year contract with Ningbo City Utilities Investment Co. Ltd. to operate bus shelter advertising in Ningbo. The agreement covers 1,000  bus shelters with 2,000 advertising faces, comprising existing bus shelters and new installations in Haishu, Jiangdong and other major urban areas of Ningbo. This is JCDecaux’s first independently-run bus shelter advertising contract in China and is a further extension to its street furniture business in China.

With an urban population of 5.195 million, Ningbo is the second largest city in Zhejiang province. In 2011, Ningbo’s GDP reached RMB601.1 billion, ranking 16th in China. Ningbo City Utilities Investment Co. Ltd is responsible for the investment, development, and construction of public utility facilities in Ningbo.
