As a core event of Shanghai Creative Industry Expo and Creative Industry Week, MEXPO, the first China media exhibition sponsored by meihua.info, was held at Shanghai Mart on October 26, 2011. As the platinum sponsor of this MEXPO, JCDecaux China participated in the event throughout, and showcased its U联, an application developed by JCDecaux for smart phones.
Sponsored by meihua.info, a well-known local company in communication industry, MEXPO consisted of four modules, namely, MEXPO, MCONFERENCE, MPARTY and MSHOW. Over 50 quality media operators, communication technology providers and various marketing service providers participated in the exhibition by showcasing their excellent creative achievements and products in the communication domain in recent years to promote the communication and cooperation between the upstream and downstream firms along the industry chain.
JCDecaux China brought to the event its U联, a product just launched to China market in August. The product was introduced to the audience by means of showcasing, video display and hand-on experience. "U联 is an application developed by JCDecaux for smart phones that has been successfully launched to the French and German markets. Since its launch in October 2010, over 400 brands have adopted the interactive U联 solution in their advertising, by which the electronic information of a brand can be communicated to the consumers by simply taking a shot of the picture of the advertisement with a smart phone. China is the third market where JCDecaux launched its U联. JCDecaux China wishes that through this opportunity, more public will have the chance to learn about and experience the U联, and at the same time the customers of JCDecaux China will be offered with more release options and more effective media platforms," said an executive of JCDecaux China.
